Please do not be afraid to email me! I'm even on Facebook! Haha! Your kids mean the absolute world to me and I will truly miss them!

Have a great summer and remember to keep God close to your hearts!

You are all amazing and I was blessed to have you all be apart of my 2019-2020 school year!

I hope you all enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL Memorial Day Weekend that we just had!

I spent my whole weekend outside and it was so great to be able to enjoy the sunshine and the warm weather! I did some gardening, yard work, campfires and we went for a few walks.

What did you do this weekend? Tell me down below!

Tomorrow is the offical, official last day! Watch for my post!

Happy Friday!

Today is supposed to be our "last day" of online learning.

I will be continuing to post until next week Wednesday, May 27th.

Today, I would like you all to do some BUBBLE ART!

The basics you need are a couple small glasses (for how many colors you want), food coloring, bubbles, a bubble wand, and a sheet of paper!

  1. Pour a small amount of bubbles in each bowl.
  2. Add about 5 drops of food coloring to each bowl, making each bowl of bubbles a different color.
  3. Stir your bubbles well.
  4. Lay your paper onto the grass or sidewalk, dip your wand into the colored bubbles and blow onto your white card stock.
  5. Let dry and display.

If you don't have the ingredients to do this, please just go outside and enjoy the weather!

Since today is SO nice, I figured it would be a great day for you to do an activity outside!

Have a great Friday and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Wednesday Catch Up AND Thursday, May 21, 2020

I am so sorry I did not have any content for you yesterday! I had it all ready to go and must not have pushed "publish" to put it on my blog. So, I will make up for it today. I redid my video from yesterday and will give you yesterday and today's work.

Story from yesterday!

If you took a mouse to school, do you think that he would do all the things that the mouse in our story does?!

Today's video!

Do you pray at home? How many times a day does your family pray?

Yesterday and Today's Prayer!

If you have not accomplished yet, I would love for you to start on your Last Day of School sheet, your dot sheet for liquid glue, and the fill in the number!! Here are some pictures to remind you what the sheets look like!

You do not have to complete all of those today, I would just like you to start working on them and remind you to have them in the back of your head so you do complete them soon!

Have a great Thursday!

Happy Tuesday!
Today we are going to watch a video about who Jesus really is!

I know we read a lot of stories about Jesus, but this video sums it all up for us and is easy to understand!

Let me know down below- What's one reason that you love God? Is it because he gave you brothers or sisters? Is it because he gave you a home with a big yard? Or is it because he made animals?

Here is our prayer for today as well!

Have a wonderful day!

Monday, May 18, 2020

I can't believe we are less than 7 school days away from the 2019-2020 school year being over. I am so sad that it was cut short and taken away from us. However, I am still thankful and blessed I have such a unique way to communicate with the parents and the kids! I don't know what I would do without you all in my life!

We are going to be reading and watching different kinds of books from here on out, along with reading a prayer every day. Some days I may even throw a video into the mix.

Today we are going to read If You Give A Mouse A Cookie and a new book I am introducing the kids to called My Little Prayer Book. The prayer book was given to me when I was little, in 2005. So, 15 years ago when I was 8.

What do YOU think would happen if you REALLY gave a mouse a cookie?!
I think he would keep coming back for more!

Also, remember that today is Silly Sock Day! So make sure to wear your craziest pair!!

Have a GREAT Monday!

Happy Thursday!

Today is just going to be an informational post.

When you pick up your brown paper bag tomorrow, there will be two things in that bag from me.

There will be a yellow/orange folder from me and a blue(boy) or pink(girl) cup with four things in it.

The yellow/orange folder will have coloring pages in it at the kids may do at their own pace.
There should be another sheet in there that the kids did at the beginning of the year. I believe that sheet says "My First Day of School."
There are also name tags and a small picture of them that we used in the classroom.
Now there should be 3 worksheets to actually "do."
  1. Fill in the missing number. (Go over this worksheet with your child. They should be able to tell you which number goes next. If they do not know how to write the number- you write it first and have them trace it.)
  2. Just a Dot, Not a Lot (This worksheet is for liquid glue practice. Place a small dot of liquid glue in each spot. This is good practice because in Kindergarten, they will begin to use liquid glue more and more. When I use liquid glue with the kids, I like to use the saying "dot, dot, not a lot." It's a catchy phrase that I find the kids saying after a while because they catch on and use it too.)
  3. My Last Day of School (Do not have the kids do this worksheet quite yet. Have them do it as close to the end of the year as possible. This will be a good comparison between the beginning of the school year and the end. Their picture of themselves should have developed more and maybe they turned a year older!!)
The Cup
  1. Model Magic (Use this to create something fun. It is white, but I hear you can color it! I believe once you bring the clay out, you have 24 hours before it starts to harden. I have never used this, so I thought it would be fun to give it a try! You can also color this model magic clay with watercolor paints or markers!)
  2. Welch's Fruit Snack (I put this in because...who doesn't like fruit snacks?!)
  3. Kool- Aid Packet (A nice summer drink to share with the family and use your new cup of course!)
  4. Note (Each cup should have a note inside that is the design of a smiley face. I wrote each parent/child a special note!)
I hope I can all see you tomorrow between the times of 11am-11:30am. I will be there and ready to wave!

I miss you all so much!

Wednesday, May 13, 2020

Hi boys and girls!

I can't believe that all your things will officially be out of the school by the end of this week. It makes me SO sad! I am going to miss you all in the classroom with me very much! You were all a blessing!

CHANGE: If you have not yet read the email that went out yesterday from Mrs. Cowart, the pick up day has been changed to Friday!
You all have a bag to pick up! The items will be in the back parking lot of the school and the instructions on how to retrieve your items are in the email Mrs. Cowart sent out yesterday! The teachers will be in the parking lot to wave at the kids from 11-11:30am. The items will be available for pick up from 10am to 12pm. I hope I can see some of you!

We are going to be reading One Bean by Anne Rockwell today.

How many of you have planted a garden? Are you going to? When?
Mine will be planted within the next week!

Remember today is letter P in our alphabet countdown! Today is Pajama Day! I know every day could probably be a pajama day, but make sure today is DEFINITELY one of them!

Have a great Wednesday!

Tuesday, May 12, 2020

Tuesday, Tuesday!

I hope you are all having a great start to your week- I know I am!

The weather is going to start looking better and better from here on out! 60's and 70's starting Thursday through next Wednesday as far as I can see! That's so exciting! Maybe I can finally plant some flowers!

Please remember Thursday is pick up day for all items that were left at school. You ALL have a bag to pick up. The items will be in the back parking lot at school. The teachers will be in the parking lot to wave at the kids from 11-11:30am. The items will be available for pick up from 10am to 12pm. PLEASE REMEMBER that if the weather does not look good for Thursday, Mrs. Cowart will more than likely move the "pick up" day to Friday if weather permits.

Today I am going to read the story, God Thought of it First by Joan N. Keener.

Today I want you to think of ONE animal that God created and why you love that animal.
For example, he made Giraffes. I love giraffes because they are as tall as trees and I think that is very cool!

Also, don't forget that today is letter O in our alphabet count down! Are you wearing orange today?!
(I only having hunting orange that is put away until hunting season!!)

Have a great Tuesday!

Oops! Sorry boys and girls!

I did not realize that my videos were set to private instead of unlisted so that way you can view them, too. That must have switched somehow by accident!! I'm so sorry!

Don't worry, I have it all fixed and they are ready for you to watch!

Have a great Monday!!

It's Thursday!

In light of finishing the Bible yesterday, I thought that we could read a book about Spring!

I Love Bugs by Philemon Sturges.

Comment down below with some bugs that you have seen this Spring!

I have seen bees, centipedes, ants, flies, and I even saw a few mosquitoes!

Have a great day!

Happy Wednesday!

Today we will be reading the story called A New World. This is my last "planned" Bible story in the book. We will refer back to the Bible and possibly read a couple stories that we did not get to.

We will be starting a couple new books to go along with the Religion theme.

Please color the last coloring page you have at home. This coloring page is called Jesus Will Return.

Thank you!
Have a great rest of your day!

Happy Cinco De Mayo boys and girls!!!

Today we are going to take a short break from the Bible stories.

Instead, I am going to update you with what's going on in my house and with my dogs!

Since I don't get to see you everyday, I can't share something new with you when I see you!

So, because I have been home every day since about March 18th, Buck does NOT like when I leave the house. Every time I leave the house now, he sits in front of the door and will not move! What a stinker!

Just another thing that Buck likes to do...does your dog watch TV?! While I was cleaning one day, I came into the living room and Mr. Buck was sitting on the couch like this watching the cars race in circles! After I changed the channel, he decided to take a nap because I did not put anything fun on!

While Buck is an indoor dog, my dog has always been an outside dog ever since she was a puppy. So, getting her in the house used to be a struggle. Now, every time I open the door and say "in," she gladly hops right in the house. She does not like to leave the carpet in the entry way though, so we are still working on it!

Although this is not a great picture, this is a great thing because they are getting along in the house! Buck is very bossy over things that he is used to just being his. Since Mustang has been coming in the house a lot lately, he is getting used to her in the house and playing with some of his toys...YAY!

Can you find Mr. Buck in this picture?
I put a fitted sheet in his kennel and wrapped it around the base, thinking I was being clever, but somehow he got it out from under the base and wrapped himself in it!
Does your dog like to sleep under blankets like Buck does?

These pictures are the before, during, and after of our door! The people that used to live in this house put a huge lock on the door and we did not like it and we did not like the color of the door so we decided to get a new one! It took a little while but we got it done with only two big wasps in the house- YUCK! Now, we can finish the flooring in the entry way- YAY!

I love these pictures! Mustang got up into the kitchen last weekend and it made my day! I was even happier that she laid down and was relaxing! That's a good sign!

My last picture for today.. The first flowers that bloomed at my house. Do you have any flowers that are blooming at your house?!

I would love to know something new going on in your life! Leave a comment below of a story you would like to share with me...OR email me some fun pictures of something you would like to share with me!

My email is OR

Have a wonderful Tuesday!

Happy First Monday in May!

Do you remember watching a video about Peter's life last week Thursday?
Well, today we are reading from our coloring sheet called An Angel Frees Peter.

Your job today is to color the angel freeing Peter from his chains!

Watch for tomorrow's post! It's going to story day! 😝
Have a great Monday!!

How in the world is it May?!
Time flies by really fast!

I feel like it was a couple weeks ago when I was in the classroom with you all and it has really been almost 7 weeks since I have seen you!

Would you like to grow a rainbow?
The steps are super easy and fun!

Things you will need:
Paper Towel- absorbent
Washable Markers- must be washable
2 Small Glasses
  1. Fold the paper towel (hot dog style). Trim the length to be about 7.5 inches.
  2. Draw rectangles of the rainbow colors on each end so you have every color of the rainbow. Make sure to fill the color in well enough so there is enough dye to travel through the paper towel.
  3. Place two cups of water that are about 3/4 full of water. You only want the bottom of the paper towel in so there is some space from the top of the cup. Do not place the ends too deep because the water will then absorb the colors instead of the paper towel. (The water will absorb some color)
  4. The washable marker will slowly make it's way up the paper towel to meet with the other side in the center of the towel.
  5. Leave the paper towel for about 10-20 minutes and the colors will eventually connect.
Here's how mine ended up!
I did not have a blue washable marker so I used pink instead!

Try it out! It only takes 20 minutes!
Have fun!
